Leave your worries with me.

Has trauma or stress left you feeling lost?

Sometimes we might feel alone or lost or that no one could possibly understand how we are feeling. We are all unique and have a story to tell and you deserve to feel better. This is a space that can open doors to transformation and healing, allow you to explore your strengths and talents, challenge and identify the things that get in your way, and learn new ways to cope with the drama and stress. When we work together, I partner with you to ensure you feel like you are getting the most out of therapy. Opening up and sharing information with a new person may leave you feeling vulnerable and unsure. I do my best to greet you with warmth and empathy.

Who I am

Hello! My name is Ashley. I have always known that I wanted to help people and truly believe that counseling enables people to become healthier and more resilient to fight the impacts of trauma or the symptoms of depression or anxiety. I worked at a crisis center for sexual assault survivors and was so passionate about being a tiny piece of each survivor’s healing journey, which is part of the reason why I am here today. I utilize many different techniques including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help you reach your goals.

Bougie, genuine, goofy, warm-hearted, lover of all things, and passionate about walking this uncertain road with you.

My passion for this career began in college. I wasn’t sure of my life path and felt that I was just “going through the motions.” Soon after, I experienced a sexual assault. The help that I received from counselors empowered me and granted so much of my agency back. I am forever grateful for the people who helped me through that experience and even more grateful that it encouraged me to uncover my passion: helping others find light in the darkness. I quickly changed my major to Psychology and Women & Gender Studies and graduated with National Honors in Psychology. All of this, led me to now. Beginning work to become a counselor is a beautiful experience and I would be honored to begin to witness your healing journey. I became a counselor because I realized the need to normalize and increase awareness around mental health concerns. I also wanted to create a space where people can talk freely about things that are often “taboo.”

My intention is to meet you where you are; listen empathically and provide a calm, warm, unbiased, and empowering space to express yourself. We will utilize tools that can be incorporated into your everyday life to encourage forward movement.
